Summer Dance Programs 2022

July 11th-15th:  Storybook Ballet/Midsummer Night’s Dream (ages 4-6)

9:30am-12:00pm/200.00 for the session

Instructor:  Jennifer Manino

The children will enter an enchanted forest where a mischievous sprite, Puck, spreads magic
and mayhem with a love potion. Students will flutter their fairy wings with Titania, Queen of the
fairies, leap into the night’s sky with Puck and help Oberon, King of the fairies restore peace
throughout the land. We will make our own love potion and create our very own enchanted
Forest.

August 1st-5th:  Beginner Ballet Camp (ages 6-8)

9:30am-12:00pm/200.00 for the session

Instructor:  Jessica Fowler

Through Disney music and themes, young ballerinas (ages 6-8) will learn beginner ballet technique culminating in a short dance at the end of the week for family and friends. The day will include crafts and dancers will bring a snack to enjoy during a short break. *Some ballet experience preferred *

August 8th-12th:  Intermediate Intensive/Classical Ballet to Modern Dance (ages 9-12)

9:30am-12:30pm/250.00 for the session

Instructor:  Beth Fecteau

Dancers (ages 9-12) will explore the ballet Giselle starting with daily technique class followed by the Dance of the Willis (inspired by the original choreography of the ballet master, Marinsky) Dancers will then transition to the early years of Modern Dance with the technique and dances of Isadora Duncan – the founder of American Modern Dance. The week will end with an informal studio performance for family and friends. *Ballet experience required*

August 15th-19th:  Advanced Intensive/Classical Ballet to Jazz (ages 13 and up)

11:00am-3:30pm/375.00 for the session

Instructors:  Jessica Fowler and Siobhan Dunham

Advanced students (ages 13 and up) will begin their day with daily ballet technique class followed by ballet variations from the ballets Sleeping Beauty and Don Quixote.  After a lunch break, dancers will delve into the realm of jazz starting with a technique class culminating in a short jazz dance. *Pointe experience required *

August 22nd-26th:  Storybook Ballet/Cinderella (ages 4-6)

9:30am-12:30pm/200.00 for the session

Instructor:  Jennifer Manino

The classical fairy tale, Cinderella, will magically come alive through creative dance which is inspired by Prokofiev’s jubilant score. Cinderella will twinkle from head to toe with the help from her fairy Godmother, who makes all her dreams come true. We will design our own castle and glass slippers and waltz with grace in our beautiful ball gowns!
